My Nephew

I got my nephew form his yaya while his yaya prepared his food. Apparently, my nephew is uber attached to his yaya that he called out his yaya’s name continuously. My nephew looked for his yaya even how hard I tried to entertain him. Suddenly my nephew acted like he was about to cry. So I went to his yaya.

Nephew wanted to jump into his yaya’s arms who had her hands full with a plate and a bowl.
Me: Kaya mo?
Nephew: Kaya
Yaya gave the plate and bowl to the other helper and got my nephew who had a mischievous grin.

Bumping Into People Who Think They Are Famous

Person #1:
While I made my way from one mall to another it suddenly became dark. A tall dark creature blocked the light... it was the import of the current champion team in Philippine Basketball Association. He was all by himself with this half smile plastered on his face. His height made me caught my attention. Good thing I did not bump into him despite being my usual self...not looking where I was going.

Person #2:
After a movie... my friend goes... "Kitchie!" then made his swabe move and made beso the creature. This simple girl was with another guy, and his face suddenly transformed. Haha! My friend introduced me and the simple girl with a tattoo on her finger shook my hand.

Yeah, feeling famous na din ba?

Can love be learned?

I just got back from BKK last Monday. Shopping nor the elephants and temples were not my major priorities. I went there mainly to attend a friend’s wedding. It was not any ordinary wedding… it was an arranged Indian wedding. I felt like I was watching a foreign film without the subtitles because the events were in Indian or whatever that language was.

I still cannot believe that she got married. Imagine, she is only 23! My friend never introduced a boyfriend, or if ever she did, it was different guy. Anyway, I am not sure who the guy is. I never got introduced! They said that the guy is a family friend or they met through a matchmaker of some sort. Well, whatever the circumstances are, when did marriage become an institution? I am not sure if my friend have some passionate feelings towards the guy.. but at least they said the guy respects her. Then again, is it possible to learn to love someone for the sake of your family name? Maybe that is how Indian culture goes.

Do not get me wrong, I enjoyed every moment of it. It was a different experience. I just hoped someone explained what was going on. All the same, I am very thankful that she invited me and even shouldered the accommodations at this 5 star hotel.
