Nacho Libre
I found the movie funny, even if I am not a huge wrestling fan. The "wrestling parts" were well choreographed. Jack Black = Comedy. Jack Black with a Mexican accent = hillarious! Add Esqueleto, the two kids.. Chancho and Juan Pablo and Sister Encarnacion! In addition, the movie had an uplifting story and message --- Nacho giving his best to help out the unfortunate orphans.

Then again, mababaw lang naman ako. :)

I didn't mean laugh or make fun of him. Maybe if I did not know him and I was alone and did not know anyone I think I could have contained myself. However, after I saw him literally bounce off the wall and my friend's reaction.. it was over.

Weekend Update

My sister had this fund raising thing for her ctk-dwtl. She asked me to help her sell her tix and so I did help spread the word. I didn't have plans of going but since a couple of my friends whom I invited attended I did too.

The thing started at 6pm but we arrived there at around 830-ish. And why did it take us that long if? We left the house at 7-ish. The event was at Crame, but I don't know with my father and we entered Aguinaldo! We asked the guard at the gate where the Multi Purporse Hall was. The guard told us to follow the car ahead of us. We did and guess where we ended up? The car lead us to this formal event! Good thing we did not go down or else we would have looked stupid. Imagine we were dressed for a concert and not for a debut of some sort. That was not the end of it... we went around the camp but since it started to get kinda eerie, my dad decided to go back and ask the guard again for directions. We did that and we even showed him the ticket to make things a little bit clearer. It was weird that guard did not even notice that it was us again. He gave us the directions but when we arrived to our destination, it did not seem right! Malamang! We were in Aguinaldo and not in Crame, so how the heck can we find the hall, diba?

Anyway, the concert was alright. Imago and Sandwich were worth it. Galing ng stage presence nila. There were raffles in between bands. I don't know but people did not want to claim their prizes. There was this drink but the people who had the stubs that they fished out from the bowl were not around or whatever. So the emcees asked people who wanted it to come forward. Two people showed up --- this guy with a You Got Served look and my friend. Since they were two and there was only one bottle, the emcees came up with a challenge... a dance showdown! The guy was up first and he began to break dance. We were like, oohhhh nooo! Humiliation! Then again, magpapatalo ba ang kaibigan ko? Hell no! She started to shake her booty like those ladies in the *toot*! It was worth it cause in the end she got free liquor!

Chill
We left the concert early and met up with the weekend barkada. Some people kasi did not want to pay for the entrance since they missed some of the bands. A number of us wanted to pee but the CR there was unbearable. Trip lang, we decided to go to UP and use their facilities there. But I guess it was not meant to be cause the roads were blocked.

We stayed at a friend's house. Picture picture, tarot cards, kwentuhan... chill. First time with just a bottle of that alcohol that my friend worked for. Haha. It was okay.

The Week That Was

Work
The work load is not getting any lighter. It keeps comming in! Lunes na Lunes, mayroon na agad kailangan gawin! Ang saya! I think I am starting to get sick and tired with this 8 hour desk and day job that I have. Stupid steep schedule. :)

Phone Call
This US company is looking for 18 testers! Am I in or out? I am not billable in my current project. I am a shadow. But am I a blocked shadow? Well whatever. I do not wanna assume or put my hopes up or anything like that. If it is for me, then good, if not, then certainly there must be something much better for me.

Pirates
Its alright. I am not a huge Pirates fan thus I cannot comment much about it. Nakisama lang ako. All I can say is that Jack Sparrow is the man! Love your pose! :p What a way to end a movie! No closure again. Tsk tsk.

The Weather

The rainy/stormy weather right now makes me wanna curl up under my comforter and never get up from bed!

It is like a sin to get up to go to work! Don't forget the wind and rain I have to conquer. Or maybe the struggle na hindi bumaliktad yung payong ko.

I am kidding.

But really, who is in the mood for productivity in this kind of weather? I certainly am not.

The next day, I cleaned my nails and placed this nail polish remover. On my way to work I noticed the same white thing on my nails. Nagmamadali ako cause I was late for work already.

Saturday Update

Afternoon
I am a frustrated artist. My mom asked if I was interested to attend this caricature lesson which was sponsored by their office. In addition, her officemate who referred the guy said that we would be surprised that each and everyone has the talent to draw. So I said yes to see for myself if I possess some gift in drawing.

I would like to think that I picked up something from the session. In fairness, when the guy saw my work of art he said that I had some talent and that I could be trained. Well, I guess like in any another art, I badly need practice. Haha, how I wish!

The first and most challenging problem we face everyday is… getting up on time.

I was supposed to treat my family for a long overdue breakfast but that breakfast turned into dinner. I woke up at around 7 in the morning but I could not get out of bed. So I told them let us have brunch instead… then lunch until my treat eventually became dinner.

We picked up my sister in Eastwood. She had this school activity and I don’t know how she reached there. Anyway, we had dinner in Heaven and Eggs. It was sort of weird cause it was dinner time and the ambiance was so bright… so breakfast-y. We got the nachos, angus tapa, salt and pepper something, manila ribs and pesto chicken thing. Their servings were big! As a whole, it was alright. However, I do not think I’d be coming back there for dinner.

Well, at least I finally got to treat them after how many months of delay.

Another Weekend

I skipped basketball for family time. We were supposed to have dinner and watch Superman in Greenhills but we ended up doing just the first. I think Superman is soo overrated and that all the cinemas there had it but then again, it was full. Anyway, we ate dinner at Burgoo. We had two shrimps and ribs platter, supreme and hawaian pizza. :@) Afterwards, I played some games at Timezone with my brother while my mom and sister went to the tiangee area. Then we ate ice cream at Floyd's and got some Holy Kettle Corn on our way home.

When I got home, I planned to watch Lake House but the copy was not nice. It was so bright. We ended up watching Lost In Translation. After seeing the movie, I got lost. Haha. Then again, my attention wasn't on the film. When I checked my Sun, I saw this message from my friend. He was inviting me to watch Lake House. Libre daw ya. Tsk tsk.

Afterwards, when I prepared to sleep I got this text from my friend. There was a grad party of this other friend of ours. I really did not have any plans of going cause I do not want to drink, I do not have ride and it was already late. Then again, I went with them cause they were right in front of our house already. So there, another inuman session with Magic Sing. They managed to make me have three glasses only. Got home by 7 na.

On Getting Up

No matter how many alarms I set, I do not get up on my desired time. Those random sounds do wake me up, however I do not have the energy to actually get up! It sucks cause I get to work later which means that I get off later also. Then during weekends when I want to recharge myself, I end up waking up earlier. Argh.

I tried to sleep early, but it was no use cuase I was not able to sleep. Instead I tossed and turned until the wee hours. I tried those various physical activities but still the same result.

It would be alright if I get up with ample time to prepare for work. It would also be desirable if I arrive in the office at around 8-ish so that when I get home the sun is still up. But no, that is not the case!

Whatever happens, I get up at the exact time everyday -- with the exception when I have a lil something to drink. What should I do to make me get out of bed? Should I like practice? Should I set my alarm, darken my room and make it look like its night time, go to bed and close my eyes?

I am really willing to try anything to fix this bad habit of mine, promise? :)
