On the Cock

Today is a special non-working holiday due to the Papal visit. However, given the nature of my profession I have work to attend to even if it should be a day off. As a trade-off I could work from home since technically I should not be reporting to the office. As usual, my VPN acted up and I had to call technical support.

While the tech support was troubleshooting my VPN issue, he suddenly blurted out: "Is that an actual cock?". Initially I thought he was talking to his peers and he forgot to put his mic on mute. Then it dawned to me that his inquiry was directed towards me! My neighbor's rooster was making its Tiktilaok sound again!!! Apparently I got so used to the sound that I didn't notice! Oops!

On Another Medya Moment

I honestly do not know what is with me and socks but I tend to forget to bring a pair for basketball and/or ultimate. Having this knowledge in mind, I mentally prepare my socks when I fix my stuff for practice. I also double check if I do have socks when I am on my way to the venue. However, these are not enough.

Case One:
I got 2 pairs and placed it on top of my dresser so I can see them. I know I placed at least one pair in my bag. Come shoe time, I cannot seem to find my socks! I drastically searched inside my bag, but the other pair was nowhere to be found. Good thing I did not take out the socks I used 2 days ago. :|

Case Two:
I placed a pair in my bag. On the way to the venue I verified if I had it in there. It was there, but lo and behold when I unrolled the socks, there was only a SOCK! The partner was nowhere in sight. Luckily, my friend who earlier had her own medya moment got a pair from her friend looked inside her bag and found her 2 pairs. Safe!

On No Tissue

Not having tissue and toilet papers in the pantries and comfort rooms is the latest craze in the office. Is this one of their cost reduction methods that goes with earth hour which extends to earth day?

Now I wonder where the budget came from and the pantries are now day care color like?

One would think everything was covered in the list above. But guess what? When we got back to the car the window at the driver's side what 100% open! *Toink* How would the driver not notice that the window was still wide open when she went down the vehicle?

I honestly do not know since I was not the one who left it. Good thing nothing was stolen (as if!), and it did not rain or else...

I was near the butter area... I suddenly blurted out..

I forgot how the conversation transpired but basically my officemate made a side comment that hers were real unlike others. The person she directed her comment retaliated by defending hers were real. I, being the "clown" that I am, blurted out "Yeah right!".

Initial Shock:
As I minded my own business... *Blag*Blag*Blag* she made her way towards my area as she babbled that hers were real. *silence* Then when I looked at my left... There they were! *eyes widened* Ngaaaay!

Finale:
She made her way back to her place with a satisfied look on her face cause of my reaction. I thought that was it. For me, seeing was not enough to believe. Thus, there is no way she could prove hers were real. Despite my initial shock I confidently joked her that hers weren't real and extended my left hand. Waaaaaaaaaah! Guess what she did?

Person #1:
While I made my way from one mall to another it suddenly became dark. A tall dark creature blocked the light... it was the import of the current champion team in Philippine Basketball Association. He was all by himself with this half smile plastered on his face. His height made me caught my attention. Good thing I did not bump into him despite being my usual self...not looking where I was going.

Person #2:
